  • CURIOSITY

Einstein said, “Curiosity is more important than intelligence.”

We are all born curious, and it’s Kati’s mission to bring that into Stockpot’s creative work everyday. Working with us is a place to ask what if…? To dream about how good it could get? To imagine the dream and build the plan to get there. Whether it’s a start up, turnaround or your business is ready to scale, curiosity is key. Without it, innovation, leadership and connection die.

Throughout Kati’s career, she directed her curiosity towards being in service to people, process and creation. Collectively, she led the development and implementation of innovative offerings for iconic brands generating up to $35 billion in annual revenue. In line with this, she has crafted impactful creative strategies to build loyalty, brand recognition and retention, introducing mobile & digital solutions, product improvements and sustainability initiatives which led to up to 30% in category growth across multiple brands. Perhaps her greatest strength is her ability to rapidly identify critical consumer and organizational needs, prioritizing meaningful changes to drive brand loyalty and expand revenue opportunities. Kati likes complicated, sticky, messy challenges and helping leaders and teams explore, ask questions and look for patterns to leverage toward change.

Being active is a key part of Kati’s creative process. She can often be found thinking and brainstorming out loud. Kati finds inspiration everywhere. Especially in nature, on dog walks, at concerts and while practicing her love of surfing, skating and snowboarding. When you work with her she may ask you to brainstorm differently, like meeting on a trail for a creative conversation, in front of a white board dreaming future visions or over a beautiful meal to address today’s challenges.

What makes Michelle so unique is her multidisciplinary approach to creative direction and her unwavering approach to the creation of compelling stories that drive business growth.

Michelle’s lateral thinking style allows her to imagine uniquely creative solutions to complex business problems. For over 20 years, she built her reputation in the design and marketing world with international brands, including Walt Disney World and Adidas, Ugg, Teva, Rabbit, Danner, Hunter, Old Navy and Burgerville. While traveling around the globe, Michelle helped companies hone in on strategies to reach the right audience. A fateful consulting gig with renowned chefs and restaurateurs ignited her love of food and led to a seismic shift in how she wanted to focus her talents.

While food may seem like an unusual move for someone who went to school for fashion and built marketing strategies for super brands, she feels right at home in this space. From fashion to fork, Michelle has worked on it all. One of her proudest accomplishments is co-founding The Nightwood Society with Kati Reardon, a women owned and operated farm to table event space in Portland, Oregon. Together these brand builders created a dynamic food-obsessed community fostering educational and impactful food focused events.

Bringing people and ideas together creatively is the heartbeat of why Michelle founded Stockpot Collective. Always ahead of the curve, Michelle imagines a new kind of world built by community through collaboration. Her vision and focus on creating cohesive brand strategy and authentic experiences defines her creative spirit and she loves to imagine uniquely creative solutions to complex business problems. Her approach works across all industries and builds healthier teams, better work and drives sustainable and brand defining results.

  • ADVENTUROUS

“Getting lost is not a waste of time.” – Pierre Bernard

When you meet someone who has that special spark, you adopt them. Born on a rural farm in British Columbia, Canada, Leah Scafe learned how to do it all. A wiz kid with numbers and science, she left Canada seeking great adventure and along the way fell in love with food, wine, and makers of all types.

One adventure she stumbled into was leading 7 tours of Outstanding in the Field farm to table dinner series. At OITF she brought together chefs, farmers, local producers and diners and literally “keeping the wheels on the bus” - managing the tour crew. Grew OITF from 16 to 40 to nearly 100 events in over 30 states per year from 2007 - 2014.

Her love of farming, food and wine brought her to Oregon where she has put her natural project manager + producer skills to work helping makers, artists, creatives to help + facilitate bringing visions to life. Leah has a unique ability to see the big picture and all the details and necessary parts, pieces, steps to execute. She has worked on many high profile projects ranging from a Producer for Feast Portland, The Lot at Zidell Yards, Waterfront Blues Festival, p:ear Gala to the Pink! Rosé Festival and countless other amazing experiences. In 2017, Leah joined The Nightwood Society team and led the business to year over year growth in amazing food-focused events. Leah and team built a highly visible and well respected community anchor that merged high quality farm to table food and service with unique parties, corporate events and civic focused fundraising campaigns. Leah’s spirit, execution and expertise infused The Nightwood with a can-do attitude and built a vibrant community that lasted long after its closure in 2020.

Leah makes shit happen. She is a dream to work with and is authentic in everything she does.
